Mini Portrait Session with the lovely Cheyenne on Monday September 4th in Beach Park, IL.
I don't think I cold have asked for a more beautiful day and perfect weather for doing a photo shoot. It was warm, but not "sweat and make-up running off your face hot", a nice breeze to help keep things moving, and an overcast day to give me a huge soft box.
When Cheyenne and I arrived at Illinois Beach State Park in Beach Park, IL, we were a little worried it was going to be busy. After parking, we walked just a little bit onto one of the trails near the nature preserve and started with a few test shots, and to see how busy the trails were going to be (I definitely didn't want to be in the way of others).
We took quite a few photos, moving up and down the trail, and then it hit me. I saw the breeze gently blowing the long tufts of grass over into the path. She stood on the edge of the path making sure not to go off path (we are always careful and respect in nature preserves) and the wind blew the grasses in-front of her and I shot away.
This is one (ok, of many) that I love.

I cannot wait to have another portrait session at the State Park in Beach Park! It was just so beautiful!
